Neural and Behavioral Verification of Mindsight Using EEG and Multilayer Sensory-Exclusion Controls

This study rigorously examines mindsight—the reported ability to perceive visual information without using the eyes—under laboratory conditions designed to eliminate conventional visual input.

Sighted and non-sighted individuals trained in mindsight will complete forced-choice perceptual tasks while EEG is recorded. Multiple sensory-exclusion controls, including opaque masks, leakage checks, and a full face-shield barrier, are combined with a matched imagination condition to distinguish mindsight from guessing, imagery, or visual leakage. Inclusion of non-sighted participants provides an additional, independent method for verifying mindsight beyond ocular vision.

This study is conducted in collaboration with MindSee and has already received IRB approval. Data collection will begin Jan. 26th, 2026

GetPsychedFund: Capital, Connection, and Meaningful Impact

GetPsychedFund is a philanthropic initiative designed to connect donors and supporters with nonprofit organizations and charitable projects advancing meaningful work within the psychedelic field.

The idea for GetPsychedFund began with conversations between Paul Stamets, Pam Kryskow, Rick Doblin, and Ann DeSollar, roommates at TED who saw inspiring organizations doing important work but struggling to reach the right donors and supporters. They envisioned a trusted community where initiatives could share their work and funding needs, and donors could discover opportunities aligned with their interests and values. From those conversations, GetPsychedFund was born, connecting resources with ideas, relationships with purpose, and donors with initiatives worth discovering.

The project provides a centralized platform where eligible initiatives can increase visibility, share their work, and connect with individuals and institutions interested in supporting psychedelic research, education, access, and other mission-aligned charitable efforts. Through the 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsorship structure of ESCRI, GetPsychedFund facilitates charitable fundraising for eligible projects, helping direct philanthropic resources toward initiatives with the potential for meaningful impact.

GetPsychedFund is building a more connected philanthropic ecosystem by bringing together capital, organizations, and supporters around a shared goal: advancing responsible and impactful work in the psychedelic field.
